Dutch Henry has 09 Sauvignon Blanc in the Barn!

Yes, Dutch Henry has its first mule kicking in the stall. We successfully crushed our Pope Valley S. Blanc last Saturday (8/29/09). It is currently bubbling away in a refrigerated stainless tank. The cellar has been scrubbed and polished, the crusher and press work, and we have one varietal under our belt. Next up: our Estate Syrah in front of the winery. Probably end of next week. 100 F in the shade at the winery yesterday and it RAINED! That was a first for me and I’m a native Northern Californian of 40 something years.
